W...I too miss our friend and colleague Red Press. We first met on the original production of Dreamgirls; Red was the contractor but also played the show. We worked that show for 3.5 years. Months after the closing, I met Red on the street and he asked what I was working on. I was at ABC -TV doing a soap, but not really happy since live performance was my business. Red offered to call around to producers and GM’s to find me a gig. I declined and said that something will come along, but I knew that although many people would make the same offer, Red really meant it. He was a true mensch.<br />Other opportunities did come along and Red and I worked on many shows together.
